Weekly Wrap Up (Jun. 16th, 2025 - Jun. 22nd, 2025)
music from across the global that caught my attention last week
What’s good y’all? Hope everyone had an outstanding week; surprise surprise it was another busy one round these par— IT’S ALSO DEATH STRANDING 2 RELEASE WEEK AHHHH I’M SO EXCITED BABY I BEEN WAITING ON THIS FOR SO LONGG. CATCH ME VIRTUALLY WALKING PACKAGES UP N DOWN MOUNTAINS AND USING MY OWN PISS & SHIT AS AMMUNITION TO FIGHT OFF TRAPPED SPIRITS LFGGGGGGG— wait what was I saying? Sorry I got distracted lol. Anyways thankfully I don’t really have much housekeeping to take care of up here other than to mention I’m currently working on the next volume of ‘I’m Sorry I’m Late!’, so that should be up next outta the production line. With that being said, let’s get started…
“Weekly Wrap Up” is a series dropping every Monday highlighting some of my favorite music released over the past seven days. I usually try to keep it to ~10 entries; and it includes everything from new albums to random singles off SoundCloud to Bandcamp only compilations to maybe a Boiler Room performance on YouTube. The idea is just for this to be a small, organized collection with stuff like links and descriptors / tags (and maybe a little write up too, who knows?) so it’s easy to navigate and decide to what to check out, etc. It’s not fully comprehensive nor will it include big releases; exceptions obviously. Simply cool music from around the world I enjoyed throughout the past week. It’ll probably evolve more over time as I’m just getting back into it, but this is what I’m rolling with for now. Hope you enjoy!
Addison Rae - Fame Is a Gun (Frost Children Remix)

Oh my god ! Get tf innnn!! Frost Children heard my prayers !!
I think the most uncanny part about this is, during that third bullet point where I pretty much just started listing off people I wanna see remix AR songs, Frost Children was *literally* originally on there until I ended up swapping them out for Sega Bodega instead. Not really sure why, I just did lol.
Hahah welp—I guess FC saw that shit and went, “…and I took that personally”.

OoOoo I been waiting on this day mannn. bar italia are an outfit from London I stumbled across a few years ago who’ve quickly shot up my list of most played alt bands for their grunge-y sound with a lo-fi edge. Now despite ‘being a fan’ for multiple years at this point, it almost feel like I haven’t really? By that I mean I’ve never really been there when they’ve put out something New; like felt that rush of excitement when you catch the new music video or see some Insta post announcing an upcoming single in your feed— in a way it felt like they were a sweet, short-lived old underground band from the 90’s and that was that. Yes I know, they did release a four song EP mid way through last year (tbh I found it kinda mid tho, and one of the songs was even off the last album too ffs so it wasn’t even new); but other than that they’ve been hella quiet in general. This new single though???
OH BUDDYYY. THEY BACKKK.
P.S. anyone trynna go see bar italia with me in November?

Bro, when BabyTron actually puts his mind to it… this man can fucking rap his ass OFF. Case in point: ‘Lord of the Multiverse’.
Beginning in 1980, the ShittBoyz MC takes us on a sonic journey through the history of hip hop as he freestyles over 45 different beats spanning nearly 10 minutes; with each one representing a different year in rap.
Luka Troncic 2 next month baby!
*just to clarify, he rapped over their songs. he did not actually collaborate with all of those ppl lol
The Dare - What’s Wrong With New York?: Afters
type: deluxe album

I can’t lie to y’all— The Dare’s definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. I know lyrically he alternates between being fucking horrible (LOL) and being super cringe (big LOL), but I can’t help it lmfao… ohmygawdddd his production just scratches a certain itch few else can man. Like I’m sorry but this is hard af— that acid techno section in the back half before the overblown bass kicks back in???? Ooooooo buddyyyy I was floatin’ lemme tell ya.
As a pretty big fan of LCD Soundsystem too, I honestly feel like it’s kinda out of my hands at the end of the day— I mean his music is essentially just a modern day version of James Murphy updated for the electro clash sound. Like what am I supposed to do ffs?? NOT listen to it???? Lol, nah be fr.
EsDeeKid - REBEL

WHEW BABY…. IT’S A GREAT TIME TO BE A RED.
JOHN HENRY SUDDENLY REMEMBERING HE’S GOT A FAAATT CHECKBOOK. GETTING THAT BRENT REPLACEMENT IN THE DOOR BEFORE HE’S EVEN SAID BYE YET. S/O JEREMIE FRIMPONG MAN— THAT’S MY RIGHT BACK. PLUS SIGNING THE BEST YOUNG TALENT IN WORLD FOOTBALL AFTER HE TURNED DOWN BAYERN, CITEH AND REAL M*DRID.
AND THEN NOT EVEN 24 HOURS LATER WE GOT A SCOUSER DROPPING THE RAP ALBUM OF THE YEAR. OH MY DAYSSSSS BRUV.
*Future voice (but in a Scouse accent)* WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE LAAA
On a serious note this LP is everything I wanted it to be and then some— literally just 11 straight songs of EsDeeKid going tf off over nutty wraith9 production. Side note: this dude wraith9 is such a fucking good producer bro, I need to see him on some bigger placements ASAP. Anyways, don’t even think it was the 40 second mark before I heard that first bar with a Jurgen name drop. So yeah lmfao, you could say this was a match made in heaven :)

Ngl… I got a serious case of writer’s block sittin’ here trynna write up this blurb and this album 100% deserves a blurb, so Ima jus give it to ya real short n sweet.
Hotline TNT are what I’d call a ‘shoegaze pop’ band from Brooklyn and this is their third album. Imho they’ve leveled up with each new release and this time around is no exception— their unique fusion of power pop, shoegaze and noise rock comes together yet again for a vibrant listening experience full of joyful exuberance.

For this entry, the man behind one of my favorite French rap songs of the year lets loose his new album… and it doesn’t disappoint!
I know it’s kind of low hanging fruit n all (especially with part of his moniker being ‘Jeune’, plus the fact he’s got dreads), but JM really reminds me of that like Young Thug / Richie Homie Quan style of ATL rap.
*deep nostalgic sigh as I reminisce about Rich Gang*
Ugh. Rest In Peace Rich Homie Quan man. I miss Rich Gang :(

In this weeks edition of ‘Hey Look! That Cool Indie Bandcamp Label Just Dropped a Sick New EDM Compilation” we’ve got …. *drumroll*… Lambratech outta Milan, Italy!
While the last few I’ve talked about on here have been in the full-on dance oriented, hardcore edm lane, Lambratech switches up the pace for us a bit with their more cyber tech focused sound. Swap out the usual dance pop and hardstyle for a much stronger breakcore / ghetto tech influence, combined with a lot of UK based subgenres like jungle + garage. Overall these elements bring a stronger hip hop feel to the table and make for a thoroughly enjoyable listen front-to-back.

The first album from one of the most important & influential faces in all of pop music recieves a special 10th Anniversary Edition (it’s been 10 years already?? my god…), featuring two previously unreleased singles as well as a sleek new vinyl + track-by-track slide posters.

Ayyyee, I finally get to tell y’all about another one of my favorite Bandcamp imprints, SVPACYBERIA! Based out of Poland, they specializes in stuff that tends to fall into the atmospheric drum n bass, breakcore and trance families of EDM. As is the case with pretty much all of those cool indie labels— SVPACYBERIA’s got a really deep roster, with every member having a couple solid af projects to their name; in addition to a few great compilation albums all together.
Now for a sports analogy: so if I was coaching a team (SVPACYBERIA FC let’s gooo) and had to come up with like the batting order or a penalty shoot-out order based off their roster, Zhnoi would absolutely be taking that 5th pen or batting clean-up. She got that franchise player type star power if you know what I mean. The type of talent you build your team around.
We calling an ISO— just give her the ball, clear out… and let her cook.
